The building site is part of the master plan “Hirschfeld: living close to nature”. 5 housing blocks with 175 apartments are connected in the underground with a shared car park. In order to ensure that all apartments have a view into nature and optimal lighting, a pentagonal shape of floorplan was chosen. All apartments have access to an outdoor area with a balcony, garden or roof terrace. Variably designed wrap-around balconies lend the buildings their individuality. The ground floor is designed in a smaller scale with partially one storey high buildings to provide a human scale.
