SHIBUKAWA EDER ARCHITECTS was founded in Vienna by Misa Shibukawa and Raphael Eder in 2007. The practice started as a Japanese Austrian partnership and grew to an architects’ team with international experience.
Our original architectural design is based on the multicultural background, ranging from buildings of all types and sizes to urban projects. Our diverse work includes educational, residential, cultural buildings and masterplans for both the public and private clients.
We aim to create spaces that not only improve peoples’ lives and are enjoyable to use, but that create long-term value, minimise environmental impact and optimise energy efficiency.
All our ideas are based on analytical considerations solving complex problems. By focusing on characteristic points of the given conditions we find “One-of-a-kind” concept for each project.
