Culture in the Making – Fabrik 1230
Fabrik 1230 is emerging as a multifunctional hub for Vienna-Atzgersdorf, offering spaces for events, gastronomy, retail, and offices. The existing building of a former coffin factory, originally constructed by Hubert Gessner and completed by 1916, has been transformed according to designs by Shibukawa Eder Architects in collaboration with the project developer SORAVIA. The goal of the redevelopment is to create a cultural center for the local community.
By the end of 2024, the architectural framework of the project had been completed, making it an ideal moment to take a first look at the progress achieved so far.
